Video tools that never see your videos
VidKit is a set of free video tools that run entirely in your browser. There is no upload step because there is no server — your file is processed by your own device, which makes it faster, free to run, and genuinely private. No sign-up, no watermark, no file-count limits.
Tools
-
Compress video
Shrink any video to an exact file size or quality level. The full toolbox.
-
Compress to 25 MB
For Gmail and Outlook attachments and Discord Nitro Basic.
-
Compress to 10 MB
For Discord's free upload limit. Verified under, every time.
-
Compress for WhatsApp

Why your files never leave your device
Every other "online video compressor" works the same way: you upload your video to their server, their server does the work, you download the result. That means waiting through a full upload, trusting a stranger's server with your video, and tools that throttle or watermark you to sell a subscription.
VidKit uses the video engine already built into your browser (WebCodecs) to do the same work locally, hardware-accelerated, on your machine. The site you load is static files — there is no backend that could receive your video even by accident. Skeptical? Open your browser's developer tools, watch the Network tab while a video compresses, and count the zero bytes uploaded.
