Cut a video online
Keep the thirty seconds that matter and drop the rest. Choose where the cut starts and ends on a preview of your video, then download that piece as a standard MP4 — full quality, or fitted under a file size for Discord, WhatsApp or email at the same time. The video never leaves your device, so there's no upload to wait for and no size limit on what you can open.
How to cut a video
- Drop your video onto the tool above, or browse for it. However long it is, it opens straight away — it's read locally, not uploaded.
- Drag the Start slider to where your clip should begin and the End slider to where it should stop. The preview follows each handle, and the line below shows the length you're keeping.
- Leave Quality selected to keep the picture as it is, or pick Target size to cut and compress in one pass. Press Trim video and download the MP4.
Exact cuts, any length, any size
The cut lands where you put it, to a tenth of a second — not at the nearest keyframe a second or two away, which is where many quick online cutters leave you. The kept range is re-encoded into a clean MP4 that plays on phones, in chats and in editors alike. On current browsers the work runs on your device's video hardware, so a one-minute clip out of an hour-long recording takes seconds, not the length of an upload.
Cutting is usually the first step to sharing, so the tool is built into the same engine as the compressor: switch to Target size and the piece you chose is fitted under 10 MB for Discord, 16 MB for WhatsApp or 25 MB for email in the same pass — the upload limits reference lists what each platform accepts. No file, filename or size is ever sent to a server; the site has no server that could receive one.
